This is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to have a massage and learn to give one with Carlos who is a well known massage therapist in UK. He calls his work "awakening bodily consciousness" and it describes the intention and effect of Carlos’ system of body work. Often clients arrive ‘numbed out’ physically and emotionally as a result of accumulated daily stresses or deeper-seated issues which remain as ‘armour’, tensions and blocks held in the body.

The treatment works deeply through the joints and stimulates the movement of lymph through the body’s drainage system, clearing the blockages and build-up of toxins which are the by-products of cellular function.

Carlos’ training in acupuncture and Five Element Theory and his many years of witnessing clients’ emotional releases have made him aware of the psycho-somatic and emotional connection between the clearing of lymphatic congestion and the meridians associated with specific organs which correlate to various emotional states.

ABC is not intended to be merely a relaxing massage. It is a deep holistic treatment, capable of facilitating the release of emotional content that the body has been holding subliminally, sometimes for many years, although such releases occur in the client’s own time and are never forced. Carlos uses breath work and guided visualisations to help clients to move comfortably and safely through blockages, resistance and pain. He treats adults of both sexes and all ages but finds that women in particular quickly feel safe to express and release emotional blocks along with the physical ones.

About Carlos

Carlos has been practising and teaching since 1985. He trained in England and India in a wide variety of massage techniques and body therapies, while undergoing his own development through Kriya and Hatha yoga, Kabbalah, metaphysics and rock climbing. He also trained in Chavutti Thirumal, a powerful system of massage by foot. He now treats using his hands and feet, with or without oils. Clients can be dressed or undressed depending on the nature of the treatment or what is comfortable for the client.

Following his interest in human energy systems he qualified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, and has developed a comprehensive multi-layered approach to the release of blocks and stresses throughout the body, incorporating the essences of Western and Eastern techniques. His personal experience of releasing his own pains and somatic blocks is central to his ability to ‘read’ the body and retune its energetic systems.

Carlos’ work combines the integrated essences of all that he has studied, experienced, and developed through his healing work. He is intuitively responsive to the needs of the client and works at the level most appropriate. A treatment may be simply a deeply restorative massage, or an insight into habitual patterns. When trust and safety have developed, physical clearing and alignment may be accompanied by profound emotional releases, restoring integration, vitality, and joy.

He is coming to Oslo from 9:th to the 18:th of March and will be giving daily massage sessions of 90 minutes each. The price is 1200 Krona. Ask about concessions. Daily he can offer 4 massage sessions, timings are as follows: 12 noon, 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm. The dates for massage are 10/3, 11/3 12/3, 15/3, 16/3, 17/3. Carlos has noticed sometimes it is healing and powerful for women to have a witness present at a session so you are welcome to bring your partner or anyone else you´d like to have with you to a session with Carlos. Carlos is also teaching a workshop on how to give a good massage. His speciality is teaching men to massage women so that will be the focus of the first day, on the second day the men receive from women. If you are interested to learn from him you need to find a massage partner to practise with. The dates for the workshop are saturday and sunday 13:th and 14:th of March. From 10 am to pm on both days. Price is 2800 krona per couple for the weekend. Also by a special request it is possible to come only for one of those days (if space allows) for which you pay 1600 krona. incentive to do both days.
